You will research information about this author’s early life, influential experiences, and writing career. You will then analyze the poem, short story, or essay that we read by this author during this unit and present two paragraphs of analysis. First, you will explain how the writing directly relates to the author’s experiences, and then you will complete your essay by presenting the theme of the work with examples and quotations to support the chosen theme.
